Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. She's performed on Broadway, in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine has the name Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes originally from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician, playing and singing at the local church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single to feature her vocals was Stalk You which was a house 12-inch released exclusively in Japan; it has been remixed since by numerous producers and is an essential part of her live sets. She has also contributed her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as the primary keyboardist in his stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
